engstaff-in is currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Project Manager to support the delivery of a major commercial build in Liverpool. This is a long-term contract opportunity, ideal for a driven and capable Project Manager who is comfortable taking full ownership of site delivery within the UK construction market.
Working on behalf of a reputable main contractor/client, this role offers stability, project continuity, and the chance to lead a high-profile commercial development from start to finish.
The Role
As Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full lifecycle management of the commercial construction project from mobilisation through to handover
- Day-to-day leadership of site teams, subcontractors, and consultants
- Programme planning, progress tracking, and reporting to senior stakeholders
- Budget control, cost forecasting, and commercial oversight
- Ensuring compliance with UK H&S legislation, CDM Regulations, and company procedures
- Managing risk, quality assurance, and problem-solving on site
- Maintaining strong communication with all project stakeholders
Required Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects within the UK
- Valid CSCS Black Card (Manager Level)
- Relevant UK construction qualifications (e.g. CIOB, RICS, MRICS, PMP, NVQ Level 6/7 or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, CDM 2015, and health & safety standards
- Solid commercial awareness and contract management experience
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience delivering new-build commercial schemes
- Background working on long-term contract projects
- Familiarity with modern construction methods and digital project tools
