An established Fire Engineering Consultancy is looking to strengthen its London based team with the appointment of a Senior or Principal Fire Engineer. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high quality fire engineering solutions across residential, commercial and complex developments, including higher risk buildings. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a senior fire engineer capable of leading projects, owning fire strategies and contributing technically across the team.
This is a senior technical role suited to someone operating at Senior or Principal Fire Engineer level, confident taking ownership of fire strategies and acting as a technical authority on compliance and performance based design.
The Role
You will play a key role delivering and leading fire engineering work across a range of projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with regulators.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and delivery of fire engineering strategies
- Acting as lead author and technical sign off for fire strategy reports
- Delivering both compliant and performance based fire engineering solutions
- Supporting projects across residential, commercial and higher risk buildings
- Engaging confidently with regulators, Building Control and Gateway processes
- Working closely with architects, developers and project teams
- Mentoring and technically leading junior engineers within the team
Candidate Profile
- Experience working as a Senior or Principal Fire Engineer within consultancy
- Strong fire strategy and technical reporting background
- Solid knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and guidance
- Experience delivering fire engineering solutions across complex projects
- Ability to act as a technical lead within project teams
- Chartered or working toward Chartered status would be advantageous
