I'm currently working with an established Housing Disrepair and Expert Witness practice that is looking to expand its panel of contract/freelance surveyors across the West & East Midlands.

This opportunity would suit experienced MRICS Building Surveyors with experience in Housing Disrepair, residential surveying and/or Expert Witness work who are looking to undertake additional instructions within their local area.

The client provides a comprehensive support structure, allowing surveyors to focus on inspections and technical reporting rather than administration.

Administrative Support

  • Instruction allocation and management
  • Appointment booking and diary coordination
  • Communication with tenants, solicitors and instructing parties
  • Chasing access and supporting documentation
  • Report formatting and quality review
  • General administration throughout the lifecycle of the instruction

This allows surveyors to focus on carrying out inspections and producing reports.

Requirements

  • MRICS
  • Building Surveying background
  • Housing Disrepair experience advantageous
  • Expert Witness experience advantageous but not essential
  • Strong report writing ability
  • Ability to undertake inspections within your local area

Why Consider It?

  • Adhoc inspections worked around your current diary.
  • Outside IR35 position, meaning you can be paid through your own Ltd Company or self employed.
  • Flexible workload that can often be accommodated around existing commitments
  • Full administrative support
  • Established and growing instruction pipeline
  • Opportunity to undertake Expert Witness work
  • Long-term ongoing instruction stream
