As a Trustee with experience in supporting wellbeing, you will help ensure our Board fulfills its duty of care to its employees and its ambitions to support our volunteers. This is the first time we have sought this skillset, so you will have the opportunity to materially shape the agenda.
What are we looking for? We are seeking a professional with a background in wellbeing, welfare or safety; someone who can help create a thriving environment for staff at our HQ and for volunteers who serve schools’ football across the country. You will be well versed in strategies to support staff retention and satisfaction, how to serve a volunteer base to make them feel welcome and supported, and will have a good understanding of health and safety as it applies to volunteers and a paid workforce.
What will you be doing? You will act as the Trustees’ expert in safety, wellbeing, and welfare, guiding, developing and reviewing strategy and policy in related areas. Staff and volunteer wellbeing is the priority for this role, and you will provide a direct route for people within the Association to raise wellbeing and safety concerns. You will have oversight of matters such as staff support and retention, volunteer care, health and safety, and mental health.
