Support the planning process for MFG and Retail, providing analysis to enable the Lead planners to provide efficient and cost-effective plans. Key contributor to planning KPIs and delivery of improvements through planning effectiveness.
This is a fully onsite position: Cwmfelinfach, Newport and the salary is positioned between £28,000 and £30,750 based on experience.
Working closely with the Business Unit Managers and Production Shift Managers to ensure that production plans optimise machine and line efficiencies and utilisation factors.
Work closely with Commercial and Customer Services department to ensure that forecast information is accurate.
Promotes good teamwork by proactively building relationships with others. Maintain co-operative working with other departments to ensure continuous improvement.
Responsible for publishing key planning department information on a daily & weekly basis. Management of stock hold for MFG – managing SKUs within the parameters of shelf life & min/max stock holding. Management of rework plan.
Provide analytical data relating to plans, stocks, run rates etc as required. Ensure Unity Data relevant to planning is accurate.
Proactively engaged in the waste reduction activities, especially where planning can influence the outcome. Ensure effective communication of company objectives, policies and practices to all members of staff.
Ability to encourage and participate in direct and tough debate to resolve issues. Any other duties which might reasonably be requested in association with this role in order to meet the needs of the business.
