Under the direction of the Technical Manager, provide technical support to the company, liaising with customers on technical requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY TASKS:

  • CUSTOMER
    • Complete customer requests in a timely and organised manner.
    • Investigate customer complaints and complete monthly or quarterly KPI report.
    • Review customer portals at least on a weekly frequency and ensure alerts are responded to.
  • HEALTH & SAFETY
    • Maintain standards of health and safety and compliance to all appropriate legislation, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
    • Highlight and report any hazards, near misses and accidents.
    • Work and challenge others to work in a safe and responsible manner.
  • TECHNICAL
    • Provide technical support to the company and all customers within the reasons of the role.
    • Assist in the development/maintenance of company policies in line with new legislation, customer requirements or company standards.
    • Assist the technical manager during customer audits and visits, including during third party inspections, or lead these.
    • Assist the technical manager during customer KPI reviews, and in the tasks associated with this to ensure completion and customer satisfaction.
    • Keep abreast of legislation to ensure company compliance and communicate any changes internally.
    • Assist in the benchmarking of products to ensure technical compliance to specification.
    • Work closely with NPD and Commercial to integrate with the NPD launch process to ensure successful product launches.
    • Ensure new products are analysed according to customer requirements for nutrition and shelf life.
    • Completion of Quality Attribute sheets and any other technical documentation required by the customer, or the business.
    • Assist in the update and maintenance of Unity to ensure technical information is available for all products.
    • Attend and assist with development and PPR trials.
    • Manage objectives set by the technical manager and ensure completion within the timescales provided.
  • VALUES & BEHAVIOURS

    • Adhere to all company rules and procedures, paying particular attention to health and safety.
    • Ensure that the legality, safety, quality, authenticity of products are maintained through EPC, and ensure they are produced to required specification.
    • Any other duties which might reasonably be requested in association with this role in order to meet the needs of the business.
    • Ensure effective communication of company objectives, policies and practices to all members of staff.
