We are currently seeking a Global Director – Young Learner Programmes (YLA) to join our international leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our global young learner provision.

The Role Itself

This is a strategic, global leadership position responsible for the growth, quality, and operational success of English Path's Young Learner portfolio across multiple regions. You will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of a global Young Learner strategy and future business plan.
  • Expand our offering beyond traditional language camps into academic, cultural, sporting, and thematic programmes.
  • Identify new markets, partnerships, and delivery models to support sustainable growth.
  • Hold full global P&L accountability, setting pricing strategy, budgets, and commercial targets.
  • Ensure operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional student experience and programme quality.
  • Act as Executive Safeguarding Sponsor, embedding robust safeguarding frameworks and oversight globally.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation bodies (e.g. British Council, TrustEd, and local regulators) and maintain inspection readiness.
  • Own the risk framework for Young Learner Academy operations and lead risk-based decision-making.
  • Develop high-quality delivery locations and build strong relationships with schools, agents, accommodation providers, and partners.
  • Lead and inspire a culturally diverse international team, promoting professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • A proven track record of strategic development and commercial growth.
  • Experience managing multi-site and/or international operations.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in safeguarding governance and student welfare frameworks.
  • Experience working across different cultures, regulatory environments, and accreditation structures.
  • A strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in global education settings.
