English Path is a rapidly growing international language school delivering immersive English, French, and German learning experiences across the UK, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Global Director for our Young Learner Academy. You will provide executive leadership for the strategic development, commercial performance, quality and reputation of EP’s Young Learner provision worldwide.
About the Role: The role is accountable for building a world-class YLA portfolio, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring that student experience, safeguarding, compliance and operational standards consistently meet or exceed regulatory, accreditation and stakeholder expectations. The role holds ultimate accountability for safeguarding outcomes across YLA provision, with operational safeguarding leadership and case management delegated to the YLA Operations Manager & Global Safeguarding Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver the global Young Learner (YLA) strategy and long-term business growth plan.
- Expand and diversify the YLA portfolio across academic, sports, cultural and themed programmes.
- Drive commercial performance with full global P&L ownership, budgeting and pricing responsibility.
- Oversee safeguarding governance, ensuring robust policies, training, compliance and risk management across all YLA operations.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation, legal, health & safety and quality assurance requirements globally.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships, programme locations and delivery providers to maintain high-quality learner experiences.
- Collaborate with marketing and recruitment teams to grow student enrolment and represent the organisation at industry events and stakeholder meetings.
- Lead, develop and manage a diverse international YLA leadership team while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Act as executive lead during serious incidents, crisis situations and reputationally sensitive matters involving young learners.
- Monitor industry developments, market trends and emerging risks to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Significant senior leadership experience in young learner provision, education, camps or youth programmes.
- Demonstrated success in strategic business development and commercial growth.
- Experience of managing multi-site and/or international operations.
- Experience working across different cultures and regulatory environments.
- Experience engaging with accreditation or quality assurance frameworks.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial management and commercial planning.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding governance and student welfare.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- High levels of cultural awareness and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to operate credibly at executive and external stakeholder level.
