English Path is a fast-growing international language school delivering high-quality English language programmes across the UK, Europe, North America and the Middle East. We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Studies to lead the academic delivery of our Young Learner Summer Programme in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced academic leader to oversee teaching quality, support and develop teachers, and ensure students receive an engaging and rewarding learning experience.

About the Role

As Director of Studies, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the academic programme at the summer centre. You will lead the teaching team, ensure the delivery of high-quality lessons aligned with the English Path curriculum, and oversee all academic administration. Working closely with the Centre Manager and operational teams, you will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment and ensuring student satisfaction throughout the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Leadership
    • Oversee the delivery of the academic programme and curriculum
    • Support and promote the academic values of English Path
    • Ensure teachers deliver engaging lessons aligned with programme learning outcomes
    • Conduct teacher observations and provide constructive feedback
    • Deliver weekly teacher development and training sessions (CPD)
  • Team Management
    • Lead and support the teaching team to maintain high teaching standards
    • Provide coaching, feedback and development plans where necessary
    • Organise teacher inductions and ongoing support
    • Manage teacher schedules, timetables and classroom allocation
  • Academic Administration
    • Monitor attendance records and academic documentation
    • Ensure progress reports and certificates are completed
    • Manage teacher timesheets and staff schedules
    • Organise cover for teacher absence where required
    • Provide weekly academic reports to senior leadership
