Full-time, (8am – 5pm, with flexibility as sites could be UK-wide) Permanent position £14.50 - £17.50 per hour (dependent on experience) 14-30% uplift of hourly rate when working on site - task related.

English Oak Buildings is a highly respected specialist in traditional oak timber framing, renowned for delivering exceptional craftsmanship and bespoke structures across the UK. Based on a beautiful farm location on the outskirts of Bath, the company combines time-honoured scribe rule oak framing techniques with modern building systems such as SIPS and encapsulation.
Responsibilities:- Fabrication of oak timber frames within the workshop, using traditional “scribe rule” techniques
- Production of our custom SIPS (Structurally Insulated Panel System) in the workshop
- On-site raising of oak frame, encapsulation systems and cladding
- Opportunities to install a specialist glazing system and joinery
- Management of timber stock – handling, stacking and grading
- Experience in oak timber framing as well as general carpentry skills
- Based local to Bath, Somerset and the surrounding area
- Understanding of construction drawings and general building practices
- Clear communication skills & professionalism
- Desirable but not essential certificates – forklift, CSCS site card, working at heights, crane operative, chainsaw, towing, first aid
- A valid UK Driving Licence with zero to minimal offences
- Good team player
- Competitive Salary – £14.50 - £17.50 per hour subject to experience
- 14%-30% uplift of hourly rate when working on site - task related
