About the role
As Major Gifts Officer (Fixed Term Cover), you will play a key role in English National Ballet’s fundraising team, by supporting major donor engagement, and delivering exceptional donor care across a range of activities including opening nights, insight events, ticketing, bespoke visits, donor communications, funding proposals and reports. This role is a fixed term contract until May 2027.
Your main responsibilities as Major Gifts Officer (Fixed Term Cover) will include:
- Support the Head of Major Giving and Major Gifts Manager with engagement, cultivation and stewardship of donors and prospects.
- Work closely with colleagues in Development and Events teams to plan and deliver an annual calendar of engaging, high-quality events, including invitations, RSVPs, guest list management, briefing notes and post-event thank you communications.
- Help ensure the Major Giving team works efficiently and effectively, and act as the lead on maintaining excellent and accurate records on the organisation’s CRM system, tracking relationships, record prospects, approaches and proposals, and keeping accurate records of communications.
- Produce key written communications for the major giving team in a timely manner, including thank you letters, invitations and other donor correspondence.
- Champion and advocate for the organisation’s artistic vision, strategic objectives and fundraising plans.

- Ability to use own judgement and refer to senior colleagues as / when appropriate.
