Working closely with the Engagement Director, you will oversee the successful delivery of key programmes and initiatives, build and strengthen partnerships, and identify opportunities to extend the reach and impact of the portfolio. You will also lead a small specialist team, providing direction, support and expertise to ensure high-quality project delivery and meaningful outcomes.

  • Plan and manage all programming, working with direct reports and other team members as needed.
  • Engage Associate Artists and other freelance creatives for projects and events, working within budget.
  • Plan and manage lead times, team workflows and all project staffing needs and resources, including working with other in-house teams to ensure venue and facilities management, safe working, safeguarding and effective delivery.
  • Support the Director of Engagement and other colleagues, to showcase high quality projects and demonstrate meaningful results and social relevance.

  • Cultivate opportunities for growth and development of all designated projects, working collaboratively across departments to plan the schedule.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Substantial experience in planning, implementation and success delivery of wide-ranging projects engaging local communities, education partners, venues and arts partners.
  • Strong background in youth and schools engagement and ability to align projects to UK government and Arts Council England priorities.
  • Ability to understand and balance the needs of stakeholders and participants from different sections of the community, including a range of access needs.
  • Ability to develop high value projects in terms of social relevance, and to monitor and drive forward quality and success factors.
