Position Summary
The Centre Manager inspires, motivates, and leads an entire school of staff, leaders, and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
- Manage, lead, and inspire a team of colleagues dedicated to students' development and welfare.
- Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds expectations.
- Ensure the centre operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety, safeguarding.
- Ensure the programme runs within the pre-determined budgets in consultation with the supporting Programme Manager or Head Office teams.
- Oversee the submission of all centre administration and ensure alignment with the centre budget.
- Provide regular centre updates to the supporting Programme Manager.
Specific Duties Include
- Training, and inspiring the centre teams.
- Conducting assemblies and inductions for students and Group leaders.
- Conducting staff and Group leader meetings.
- Overseeing staff performance and behaviour and ensuring that staff demonstrate and adhere to safe and healthy working practices at all times.
- Liaising with the Recruitment Team to ensure staffing is at maximum capacity and staffing issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Creating staff rotas and ensuring employee contracted hours are adhered to and additional hours recorded weekly.
- Overseeing accuracy of staff rotas, contracted days / hours for payroll purposes.
- Reviewing completed Meal provision forms and Occupancy record forms and confirming student numbers with Head Office prior to final submission.
- Supporting all management team members.
- To be familiarised with the ongoing Activity and Academic programmes.
- To be familiarised with all processes for centre operation.
- To conduct performance management reviews of all staff.
- To liaise with the Transport team regarding all student arrivals and departures.
- To carry out centre duties to meet the operational needs of the centre, including emergency phone cover on a rota basis.
- Managing a positive working relationship with all stakeholders.
- To create a positive, inclusive and safe workplace environment.
Organisational Compliance
The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company's Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters. Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.
Education Desired
Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towards.
Additional Qualifications Desired
Safeguarding Level 1 and 2.
Experience Required
Management experience.
Preferred
Experience working with juniors. Experience in a role involving organisation / logistics / travel.

Working Week
6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week). All management roles are residential.
Staff Uniform
All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty. Employees must ensure that the uniform is worn properly, maintained in a clean and presentable condition, and always adheres to the company's dress code standards.
Disclosure and Barring Service
If you do not have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring certificate and are not registered on the DBS update service, we will need to apply for a new Enhanced DBS for you. Please confirm this at the time of application.
