Interpretation Curator, Living Barracks Project

Thatc, as a charity, we care for over a million objects and hundreds of historic sites in every part of England, from international icons to local treasures. And itc why we open them up, share their stories and find new ways for everybody to enjoy, learn, play and create. We are looking for an Interpretation Curator to join our team, to deliver the Living Barracks project at Berwick. The role is full time and fixed term for 18 months, working 36 hours per week.
This role has been part funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of innovative interpretation that connects people with places, stories, and perspectives.
- Lead the creative development, planning and implementation of innovative audience-focused interpretation schemes.
- Interpret and communicate difficult or sensitive subjects appropriately.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and partnership working.
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Brief and manage designers, artists, and other contractors.
