Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to assist the Maintenance Manager and Team Leader in the prioritisation of tasks, based on production needs, time and complexity to ensure the continuous running of equipment and machinery. The role of Maintenance Engineer will provide a fresh challenge offering lots of variety and a chance to learn new skills and build your career in a niche industry, in a nice part of the country.
Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on production equipment.
- Complete all documents and records associated with maintenance activities.
- Support the Maintenance Manager in implementing maintenance schedules and improvement projects.
- Comply with all relevant H&S regulations and all applicable standard operating procedures.
- Support the Maintenance Manager and Team Leader in training new employees and apprentices.
- Identify recurring issues and suggest long-term solutions or improvements.
Requirements to be successful as a Maintenance Engineer:
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 or above.
- Maths and English GCSE (A-C).
- Experience of industrial Machinery, ideally PLCs, CNC Machinery, Microelectronics.
- Electrical Safety.
- Machine tools and measurement devices.
- Manual dexterity.
- Microsoft Office / Excel / Databases and spreadsheets (basic).
- Fluent in the English language, with effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Working well under pressure, managing stressful situations and projects.
- Conscientious, planning and prioritising activities.
- Resolving problems in an efficient manner.
- Willingness to travel to other sites in UK and suppliers in UK/Europe.
- Able to do occasional overtime when required.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week.
Commutable from Bromyard, Droitwich Spa, Evesham, Hereford, Ledbury, Malvern, Pershore, Tewkesbury, Worcester.
