Business Development Executive
English Braids Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Executive to join our growing Sales team. Market rate basic salary subject to experience, OTE, car allowance, or company car
Location: Malvern, Office & Field Based (70% Office / 30% Travel)

Reporting to the Business Development Manager and working across our Commercial Division, you will play a key role in supporting business growth, identifying new sales opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and helping deliver outstanding service to our customers.
Responsibilities of a Business Development Executive:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Following up enquiries and quotations to maximise sales opportunities
- Managing customer information and sales activities through our CRM system
- Supporting marketing campaigns and promotional activities
- Conducting customer calls, meetings, and occasional site visits
- Attending exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
- Preparing sales reports and supporting business development plans
- Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to drive success
We are looking for a Business Development Executive who is:
- Motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn
- Confident communicating with people at all levels
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building skills
- Proactive and resilient with a positive attitude
- Interested in manufacturing, engineering, height safety, or lifting equipment industries
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Looking to build a long-term career in sales and business development
Experience & Qualifications:
- A-Level, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification preferred
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, account management, or business development
- Hobby / previous experience with Small Cords, Height Safety and Lift Winch Pull would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Additional languages would be beneficial

English Braids Ltd is a privately owned leading British manufacturer Since 1968. Our Ropes, Cords and Braids are manufactured at our production facility in Malvern, Worcestershire. English Braids Ltd is a trusted and respected global supplier to a diverse range of markets including Leisure Marine, Commercial Marine, Height Safety, Lifting & Industry, Small and Technical Cords.
Location: Malvern office commutable from Bromyard, Droitwich Spa, Evesham, Hereford, Ledbury, Malvern, Pershore, Tewkesbury, Worcester.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30. The role will be based out of Malvern; however, there will be frequent travel and overnight stays to visit customers and exhibit at trade shows in-line with the target marketplace. There will be a requirement to work outside of standard hours on occasions for business needs.
