English 1 (formerly EF English First) is hiring committed and enthusiastic teachers to join our professional team in Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Malang (East Java), Mataram (Lombok), and our newest location in Bandung Regency (West Java). What We’re Looking For: This is a full-time teaching position for candidates who are serious about professional development. We are looking for people who are passionate about education, open to learning, and eager to make a long-term impact.

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification (required for all candidates)
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (minimum two doses)
  • At least one year of teaching experience preferred
  • Valid passport with at least 18 months of remaining validity
  • Candidates from non-English-speaking countries must provide proof of English proficiency:
  • IELTS score of 7.5 (with 7.5 in Speaking)
  • TOEFL iBT score of 102 (with 25 in Speaking)
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced with a minimum grade of B (193 or above)

Senior Teacher roles are available for more experienced educators.
