As the Lead Speech and Language Therapist, you will work within a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team, including professionals from neurology, neuropsychiatry, neuropsychology, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and social work. Your primary focus will be to ensure the effective delivery of a highly specialised SLT service., * Leadership: Lead and manage the Speech and Language team to ensure effective service delivery.

Clinical Management: Plan and prioritize a complex clinical caseload with advanced specialist assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.

Collaboration: Take a lead role in diagnosis, problem formulation, and rehabilitation planning within the multidisciplinary team (MDT).

Intervention: Provide and evaluate interventions as part of an MDT approach and implement service developments.

Communication: Maintain effective communication with patients, families, the MDT, and external agencies.

Training: Develop and deliver in-service education and training programs for the wider MDT.

Advocacy: Ensure the safety and rights of individuals under your care.

Postgraduate dysphagia training

Minimum 2 years of experience at Band 7 level in a neurorehabilitation setting

Supervisory experience

Proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently in neurorehabilitation

Successful candidates will undergo an Enhanced DBS check
Work Hours / Flexible working
Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
