Casual Event Day Steward: Allianz Stadium is the Home of England Rugby, the headquarters of the Rugby Football Union and one of the foremost sports and concert venues in Europe. The stadium has a spectator capacity of 82,000 and the site includes a hotel, a leisure club, conference and banqueting facilities, a Rugby Store and office accommodation, all of which makes the stadium a 365-day-a-year business.
To ensure the effective provision of security for the Allianz Stadium complex as well as at frequent off-site events, we are seeking casual event day stewards to:
- Provide and maintain a friendly and proactive service to all guests
- Perform access control, queue management, bag-checking and directional attendant duties
- Maintain a safe environment for all guests and staff
- Perform crowd management, access control and directional attendant duties
In addition to the above, key responsibilities include monitoring spectators, reporting unusual crowd dynamics, identifying and reporting any hazards and defects including suspect objects, keeping entrances, gangways and exits clear and observing and enforcing ground rules.
Candidates must have good customer service skills, an ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of staff, guests and commercial visitors and have the personal confidence, stamina and perseverance to deal with incidents when they arise. You will need to commit to the majority of 20 events per year, most of which will take place at weekends. You will be required to work between 8 to 12 hours per day with a variety of shifts between 6am and 12pm. Full training will be given to successful candidates. Please note you must be 18 years or over to work as a steward.
