The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

This role involves the dual responsibility of the operational delivery and administrative support of the Women’s U18 International team and Player Development Programmes (PDG). You will be working closely with the Pathway Performance Manager, Women’s U18 Head Coach and PDG Lead to deliver a robust player development pathway. The delivery of this world-class programme will require building strong and effective relationships with RFU staff, players, suppliers and external stakeholders.

We are looking for someone to become a key member of our Performance Operations Team, who support all programmes across Men’s and Women’s Teams, Senior to Pathway environments. Our team plays a critical role in performance success - creating the environments that enable players and staff to thrive. Our focus is simple: deliver world-class operations so our teams can focus fully on performance. While much of our work takes place in camp alongside our respective teams, we are a highly connected group, providing strong support to one another remotely. Outside of camp, we come together at HQ (Allianz Stadium) to share learning, collaborate, and continually evolve how we operate across programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
    • Training Camps & Competitions:
      • Book all hotels, training venue/facilities and travel for the season.
      • Organise and administrate all staff and players schedule when in camps and competitions.
      • Co-ordinate, manage and transport equipment for games and camps including player kit, laundry, nutrition, analysis and medical equipment.
      • Preparation and packing kit for all occasions, including the potential to manage on-site Kit Managers.
      • Ensure all risk assessments & H&S are complete for each venue.
      • Prepare documentation with details of all arrangements for the camps & competitions.
    • Admin Functions:
      • Provide admin and presentation support for the Head of Women’s Player Pathway on relevant projects and programme development.
      • Be the central point of communication for managing all general enquiries and player invitations and assessments.
      • Update and maintain player and staff information on database systems.
      • Tracking and approving staff & players payments and expenses for the programmes.
      • Raise POs, process invoices and manage the budget across both programmes.
      • Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the current strategic, business and operational plans.
      • Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of the RFU, including the promotion of our culture and core values – This Rose Means Everyone: Put The Team First, Shape The Future, Respect Each Other.
      • Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the organisation.

Essential

  • Experience in operations, logistics, or event coordination.
  • Strong administrative and organisational capability.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial processes.
  • Ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with travel providers, venues, or suppliers.
  • Understanding of high-performance or international sport environments.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desirable

  • Holding A-Level qualifications or equivalent with practical understanding of sport.
  • Recent/relevant experience of the rugby environment/strong practical understanding of the rugby/sporting landscape in England.
  • Knowledge of the England Rugby Pathway Structure.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours in dynamic, camp-based environments.
  • An effective team member, with sufficient flexibility and willingness to take on roles outside their normal functional responsibility when required.
