England Golf is seeking applications for one contractor position of National Boy's and Girl's Putting Coach. The person will be responsible for the putting development and preparation of players in the England Boys' and Girls' Squad/Teams. The role will require the commitment of 32 days per annum broken down into coaching camps, competition attendance, individual player support and continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate all aspects of putting coaching for the Boy's and Girl's National Squads, including designing, implementing, and managing a periodised training programme for each individual at squad camps and in their home training environment.
- Work with the Performance Director and Performance Managers to design and implement a planned and strategic approach to the performance environment for putting, creating an optimal learning environment that positively impacts each player's performance needs.
- Design and manage an appropriate support structure and world-class performance services to facilitate improved putting performance.
- Liaise, build and develop excellent working relationships with players and their support network.
- Lead in the development of each player's personal development plan relating to putting.
- Communicate with National Lead Coaches on all aspects of player development as players move through the pathway.
- Contribute towards driving a winning culture and strong work ethic within National squads.
- Provide player progress reports in line with the strategic performance plan for each National squad.
- Utilise performance statistics (Upgame) and player profiles to contribute to a technical and performance plan for each member of the squad (Performance Development Plan - PDP).
- Operate a safe environment for young people, taking into account all relevant Safeguarding and Child Protection guidelines.
- Support the National Men's and Women's Putting Coach with CPD delivery for regional and county coaches as required.
England Golf Safeguarding and Protecting Children Requirements
This role has been identified as involving access to adults at risk and/or children and, in line with England Golf policy, persons undertaking this role will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Disclosure Check and must also have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children course (SPC) or be willing to undertake one.
