We work in partnership with the wider athletics family, especially our member clubs and bodies, UK Athletics, Sport England & commercial partners, to grow opportunities for everyone to experience our sport and to enable them to reach their full potential. England Athletics also provides national-level competition and is responsible for athlete development beneath world-class performance levels. England Athletics is a membership organisation with approximately 1,928 member clubs/bodies and approximately 176,000 registered athletes. It exists to provide services and support to its members, promote, and deliver athletics and running activities across all ages, ability levels, and aspirations, and support the wider sport with over 6 million runners monthly in England, 2,251 licensed road races, and 244,050 active RunTogether participants across more than 3,439 groups. Our vision is for athletics to become an inclusive sport where everyone belongs and can flourish. The Role: We are seeking a Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager on a permanent basis. This role will lead the organisation in EDI initiatives by informing policy, influencing program design, and helping the sport achieve its vision of inclusivity and belonging. The ED &I Manager will operate at strategic and operational levels, overseeing the Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan, providing regular updates to the England Athletics Board and Sport England. The role involves regular collaboration with various departments, the Board, England Council, and member clubs to shape sport development and athlete support. The responsibilities include: Leading and championing the EA Diversity Action Plan across the organisation and the wider sport. Advising the Board, England Council, and Senior Management on engaging underrepresented groups in participation and governance, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Managing relationships and strategic initiatives with partners like MIND, Sporting Equals, Women in Sport, Activity Alliance, and Sport England. Leading the England Athletics Culture & Wellbeing Group. Supporting colleagues through delivery of programs, training, and services to member clubs, coaches, officials, and participants.
