PURPOSE The Senior Media Rights Manager will be responsible for account management and servicing for some of its most valued media rights partners. The individual will also build strong relationships with rights holders, support the development of comprehensive market intelligence for key territories and use this knowledge to support and better inform future media rights management processes internally and externally. This role is key to supporting ECB’s and its key media partners’ fan and audience growth ambitions.

YOU’LL BE DOING
- Account lead for ECB’s key media partners and platforms, developing close working relationships and managing all day-to-day aspects of the partnerships.
- You will support the Commercial team’s media distribution and commercialisation remit.
- Alongside ECB’s media rights agency, participate in contract renewal discussions with your key accounts and play an active role in supporting rights sales processes within certain territories.
- Onboarding new and existing broadcast partners for next media rights cycle: providing hands-on training around ECB’s future media product and broadcast tools.
- Support across distribution of ECB’s content and programming portfolio to new and existing broadcasters and platforms.
- Close interaction with ECB’s internal teams across Marketing, Sponsorship, Content, Digital, Strategy, Communications, Events, The Professional and Recreational Game.
Please note that this role is office based and requires you to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.
YOU’LL HAVE
- Knowledge required: In-depth understanding of broadcast media rights. Sound knowledge of the sports broadcasting landscape. Understanding of conventional and digital media platforms and their role in the modern marketing mix, particularly with multinational and global brands.
- Experience required: Strong industry experience ideally at broadcaster, platform, rightsholder or agency, ideally for 8-10 years. Proven track record of successful client relationships and strategic account management. Good contacts in the area of Broadcasting and Sports Marketing. Experience of working across UK and key cricket markets outside the UK.
- Skills and aptitudes required: Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels. Excellent planning, organisational and presentation skills. Have strong attention to detail and adaptability in a frequently evolving professional environment.
Circumstances Ability to travel domestically within the UK and occasionally on an international basis. The role will be based at ECB Offices at Lord's Cricket Ground and requires you to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.
