Head Coach of Reading\’s Women\’s 2nd XI

Overview

Following promotion to EH National League Division 1, the Head Coach will lead the Women\’s 2nd XI team, working closely with the Coaching Team and Team Manager of the Women’s 1s Squad to implement the club’s vision and strategy for the Women’s Performance Squads. This includes focusing on strategy, tactics, playing principles, and talent development.

Responsibilities

1. Define and establish operational principles for the Women’s 2s Squad in alignment with the Talent Development strategy.
2. Oversee all match-related activities for the team, including selection, strategy, and performance in EH National League Div 1, National Cup, and friendly matches.
3. Provide feedback and developmental guidance to squad members throughout the season to enhance individual and team performance.
4. Collaborate proactively with the Coaching Team, Women’s 1s Squad management, Women’s Section Committee, and team captains to support player development and performance feedback.
5. Support and guide Women’s Section Coaches by cascading performance and development principles for club players where appropriate.
