UCL Women’s Hockey club is recruiting an interim coach for our 2nd/3rd and 4XI for the upcoming 2025/26 season.

We would be looking for a coach or high level player who could cover a personal leave of absence of our previous coach, from September 2025 to January 2026. We are one of the largest university hockey clubs in London and are associated with University College London.

We currently field 4 women’s teams which range from complete beginners in our 4XI to national level players in our 1XI. Weekly BUCS matches take place on a Wednesday for all teams, and our training is held on a Monday evening at Whitefield School in Brent Cross.

Our 2s,3s and 4s have progressed massively in the past year by having a coach on board. Therefore, we would be looking to find an interim coach who could replace the previous coach in his absence.

The 2XI will be playing in BUCS South Eastern Tier 3, 3XI in BUCS South Eastern Tier 4 and 4XI in BUCS South Eastern Tier 5.

We are looking for a coach who can:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging training sessions to our players across a range of abilities
  • Foster a strong team culture and positive club environment.
  • Commit to coaching our teams on a weekly basis, providing continuity and stability for the 2s/3s/4s.
  • Integrate well into the UCLWHC family
  • Communicate regularly with the captains to maximise the development of the players within their teams.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a thriving university sports club.

If you are interested or would like to discuss rates and availability, please get in touch by emailing our President, Alex Paraskeva, at alex.paraskeva.23@ucl.ac.uk

We welcome applications from coaches or high level players who have a Level 1 coaching qualification, who are enthusiastic, reliable and committed to university sport.
