Sevenoaks HC is seeking professional coaches for its Talent Academy coaching team.
Sevenoaks Hockey Club (SHC) is one of 24 clubs in the country to have been offered the opportunity to host the a England Hockey Junior Talent Academy and we have just been awarded a new 3 year licence. Talent Academies provide multiple opportunities throughout the year for high quality training for the highest potential 14–18-year-old players.
This coaching opportunity is a chance to work with and help develop the highest potential 14–18-year-old players in our catchment area. It also provides scope to expand your own coaching experience within the England Hockey Talent System. TAs provide high quality coaching sessions every week to a squad of players identified through a robust nomination and selection process based on the England Hockey player profile.
· To work as part of a team of coaches to deliver the TA sessions both on the pitch and in the classroom.
· Available to deliver sessions on a weekly basis from September through to July and all additional training and competition sessions planned for weekends during the year.
· Provide regular two-way 1 to 1 feedback to an allocated group of players and profile all players against the England hockey player profile
Your Experience :
A proven track record of developing junior players ideally within a performance environment.
Your Skills:
· Good understanding of the England Hockey Talent System framework and England Hockey player profile process
· Hold a current First Aid Certificate and be prepared to undergo a DBS enhanced check. Have attended a Safeguarding Children Workshop in the last 3 years (or be willing to attend at the next possible opportunity).
Your Qualities:
· Can work as part of a team, to deliver an integrated high performance development programme
· Inspirational, motivational and reliable
· Excellent organisational and communication skills
Salary: Pay will be competitive, linked to coaching qualifications and previous experience. You will be contracted to the TA on a self-employed basis.
