Didsbury Northern Hockey Club is a vibrant and inclusive club, committed to developing players of all ages and skill levels. Our Ladies 1st XI are in the National League North Conference Division and are looking to maintain their status in NL after a significant rebuild last season. The ladies have had many consecutive seasons in the NL and have ambitions to challenge for promotion to Division 1.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport, a strong understanding of coaching at this level if not higher, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate players.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organise, and conduct an effective training program.
  • Attend all 1st XI matches including preseason matches.
  • Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to players to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate player progress and development.
  • Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a cohesive club coaching approach.
Qualifications:
  • Previous coaching experience at a similar level.
  • Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., Level 2 or equivalent, safeguarding, first aid, etc).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with players of all ages and varying abilities.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
