About the role

We are looking for a Regional Development Manager to join our team, reporting to the Global Sales Manager. In this role, you will lead on developing key accounts within your region, driving the uptake of EAL products and services while maintaining a strong focus on quality and regulatory compliance. This is a varied role where you will both grow existing relationships and seek out new opportunities. You will work across a range of revenue streams, including apprenticeships, qualifications and wider commercial services, helping to strengthen EAL’s presence and impact in the market.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will manage a portfolio of key accounts, working closely with customers to grow regional revenue and expand engagement across different products and services.
  • Alongside this, you will lead new business activity, building a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, networking and well‑targeted engagement.
  • Building strong, visible relationships will be a central part of the role. You will spend time with customers face to face, delivering presentations and discussing their needs, while using market insight and customer feedback to shape your approach and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • You will also oversee the onboarding of new centres, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience, and lead recognition renewals to maximise both customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Keeping accurate records on CRM systems and maintaining a clear view of your pipeline will be an important part of day‑to‑day activity.
  • Working with colleagues across sales, marketing, industry and digital teams, you will help deliver regional strategies and campaigns, acting as a knowledgeable and credible representative for EAL’s full product offer.

What we’re looking for

  • You will have a strong track record of managing and growing key accounts within the education/skills sector, with clear experience of achieving revenue targets and expanding market share.
  • Experience of generating new business through outreach, networking and delivering presentations is also important.
  • You will be confident building relationships with a range of stakeholders, including colleges, training providers and employers, and comfortable engaging face to face.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
  • You will be well organised and able to manage multiple priorities, with a good eye for detail when it comes to CRM usage and reporting.
  • A practical, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to respond to challenges as they arise will help you succeed in the role.

Remote/home based working at Enginuity

Your working hours will be 35 per week, working 9am until 5pm with a 1 hour lunch. As a home‑based employee you will fulfil your job responsibilities from home. Interactions with work and colleagues will be from a virtual environment. Depending on your role you will be required to either have some occasional travel or UK national travel. This travel will be required to allow you to fulfil different parts of your role and to meet colleagues on a quarterly basis. Other meetings that might require you to travel are events such as all colleague away days, training, and project work.

About Us

The Enginuity Group exists to find new ways to close skills gaps in UK engineering and manufacturing in order to create a more productive sector at the forefront of designing, making and maintaining the solutions to society’s greatest challenges. Enginuity is a charity that has created a ‘common language’ for engineering and manufacturing occupation and skills data, to help employers have the right skills at the right time to adapt faster to change.

We use this unique approach to sector data, alongside our deep understanding of the skills needs of UK engineering and manufacturing businesses, to support engineering and manufacturing employers in discovering new sources of skills; provide insights and recommendations on the skills that are increasingly in demand so businesses, sectors and government can plan ahead; and alongside EAL, the Enginuity Group’s specialist Awarding Organisation, End Point Assessment Organisation and skills partner for industry, connect organisations to ensure technical education is fit for purpose and keeps pace with changing industry needs, new technologies and the net‑zero transition.
