We’re looking for an experienced communications professional to lead Monzo’s earned consumer communications programme in the UK.
You’ll identify the opportunities that matter most and develop earned communications that help more people discover, understand and trust Monzo.
Working across Product, Marketing and Business teams, you’ll bring products, customer insights and business priorities to life in ways that deliver real business impact.
You’ll build long‑term communication plans while staying agile enough to respond to changing priorities, emerging opportunities and shifting timelines.
While this role is focused on the UK, you’ll also act as a trusted advisor to our European Communications team, sharing expertise and helping shape consumer communications as we grow internationally.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver Monzo’s UK earned consumer communications strategy and roadmap, aligned to business priorities.
- Partner across Product, Marketing, Business and other cross‑functional teams to shape plans early, identify opportunities, understand the wider stakeholder landscape and manage reputational considerations from the outset.
- Lead communications around our products, data, customer insights and business priorities—creating earned stories through product launches, original insight, reactive opportunities and integrated campaigns.
- Develop creative communications ideas internally and with agency partners, recognising that the best ideas don’t always need a major campaign, a large budget, an agency brief or a business‑driven moment.
- Exercise strong editorial judgement and prioritise the work that will have the greatest impact.
- Build relationships with journalists, creators and emerging platforms, continually evolving how we reach audiences.
- Use data, AI and audience insight to uncover opportunities, improve the way we work and evolve our communications approach.
