Overview
We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone.
We’re moving away from traditional banking complexities.
Over the last 10 years, our product offering in the UK has expanded from a prepaid card to personal and business bank accounts, joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, a free kids account, and credit cards, with more to come.
UK customers can save, invest and combine their pensions with us.
We offer hot coral cards, a get-paid-early feature, financial education on social media, and award-winning customer service.
We’re not about selling products—we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo.
Location: London or Remote (UK) | Salary: £71,400 - £90,000 plus Incentive Awards and Benefits.
About the team
We are building the Global DPO Office to support the Data Protection Officer and ensure data protection compliance across Monzo as we scale globally.
The Global DPO Office sits in the second line of defence (Compliance) and collaborates with the first line Data Protection team, Legal, and other bank teams to evidence and strengthen data protection compliance.
We aim for clearer governance, global processes, and a consistent approach across the UK and Europe.
Role overview
We’re looking for a hands-on Manager who can support and lead important work across the DPO Office and the wider bank.

This is an individual contributor role in a small and high-standard team.
You’ll provide advice, oversight and challenge, build trusted relationships across Monzo, and help improve how the Global DPO Office operates as we scale.
It’s a great opportunity to deepen DPO-level experience.
You’ll deputise for the DPO from time to time, while helping build processes, governance and ways of working needed for a global DPO Office.

- Provide practical, proportionate data protection advice, oversight and challenge across the bank.
- Review DPIAs, provide DPO opinions, assess data breaches, and support well-documented regulatory reporting decisions.
- Support regulator relations, improve regulatory engagement processes and complaints handling, and oversee data subject rights and contact point processes.
- Lead projects within the Global DPO Office at pace and represent the team in cross-team projects where data protection is affected.
