Due to the rapid pace of change in the energy sector, we need to fundamentally reform the connections process to ensure that it delivers the best outcomes both for customers and electricity consumers. As a result, we are taking forward various reforms (short, medium and longer‑term) to address these challenges and have put our customers and stakeholders at the heart of this change. These changes and new processes will significantly speed up and improve the current arrangements that are no longer fit for purpose given the pace at which we need to transform our energy system.
The Project Assurance Analyst will be key in delivering these reforms. You will be part of an agile team to build, test and implement solutions to optimise the connections reform processes, ensuring the customer is always at the heart of any decisions. Your role will involve process governance, controls and reviews, validating compliance with deliverables and tactical implementation of initiatives which will continuously improve the connections process for our customers in the short to medium term. You will be responsible for owning and managing relationships with key internal stakeholders to gather insight on complex connections processes. You will use this insight to lead on the creation and implementation of assurance processes, ensuring compliance within the wider connections team. This role can be based from Wokingham or Warwick, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full‑time and part‑time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

Key Accountabilities
- Develop and execute complex assurance plans for connection processes for the future connections reform window, ensuring effective implementation.
- Identify, investigate and remedy errors within the assurance review process.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure accurate connection reform outcomes and ongoing compliance.
- Lead/support a virtual team across the connections reform program to deliver the reform objectives and embed continuous improvement.
- Engage with internal stakeholders within reform to identify assurance criteria of various processes.
- Champion continuous process improvement through identification and implementing enhancements to connections reform processes.
- Identify and elevate key areas of risk and concern on project delivery.
- Maintain awareness of current reform methodologies, applying this knowledge to enable compliant and effective delivery.
About you
- Exceptional attention to detail to meticulously review connection reform documents/check outcomes/processes (essential).
- Knowledge of the connections process and reform (desirable, but not essential).
- Analytical thinking, ability to dissect complex systems and identify underlying issues that could compromise quality.
- Demonstrated ability to own internal relationships up to senior management level to achieve the required outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex information in a way non‑experts can understand.
- Ability to see the big picture and think strategically, identifying interactions opportunities to improve cross‑team working.
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to successfully manage multiple activities and issues to set deadlines, including excellent administrative skills.
- Driven mindset, delivering high‑quality work under pressure, on time, whilst adhering to governance requirements.

- A competitive salary between £55,000 - £60,000pa - dependent on experience and capability.
