Disrepair Manager

About the Role

Join WPS as a Disrepair Manager and take the lead on delivering end-to-end disrepair programmes for a local authority. You'll play a key role in improving residents' homes while ensuring works are completed efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end disrepair programmes within SLAs
  • Act as the main liaison between council, contractors & stakeholders
  • Review claims and accurately scope works from survey reports
  • Manage contractors and ensure works are delivered on time, safely, and to quality standards
  • Drive KPIs including turnaround times, first-time fix & customer satisfaction
  • Oversee pre/post inspections to ensure compliance and sign-off standards
  • Support legal processes including pre-action protocols & joint inspections
  • Ensure full compliance with H&S legislation, CDM, and council policies
  • Manage budgets and maintain cost-efficient delivery
  • Maintain clear documentation and provide regular client reports
  • Engage residents, manage expectations & resolve complaints
  • Identify improvements to reduce repeat defects and future claims

Essential Requirements

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - mandatory
  • Full UK Driving Licence - required
