As our Global Medical Affairs Director - Paediatrics, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Medical Affairs (MA) physicians and scientists develop deep medical expertise on ViiV medicines, and all related relevant topics including but not limited to the diseases for which they treat or prevent, the competitive landscape, the payer/provider environment, and emerging data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the early strategic analysis, innovative design and execution of medicine readiness program across the various roles and levels in the Medical Affairs (MA) organization to ensure demonstration of deep medical expertise.
  • Lead cross-functional, matrix team to deliver medicine readiness programs with an emphasis on timely delivery for all launch medicines for all levels & roles of appropriate MA personnel.
  • Continuously evaluate the medicine readiness needs across the world.
  • Develop and maintain medicines readiness programs based on adult learning principles and tailored for each role's appropriate competency level for all Medical Affairs supported.
  • Deliver medicine readiness and training curricula for the Medical Website and keep updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Continuously evaluate the best learning methods considering the current environment and situation.
  • Strategically evaluate the continuously evolving role readiness needs across the organization and develop and deliver ongoing role readiness programs and learning plans.
  • Continuously evaluate needs and develop and maintain getting started and onboarding tools and resources to enable new hire personnel for role readiness.
  • Continuously evaluate needs and recommend, develop and deliver skills and knowledge programs to improve capabilities or fill gaps in knowledge of the MA personnel.
  • Consult with Medical Affairs leaders to anticipate, prioritize and share emerging data, and incorporate into current curricula on a timely basis.
  • Partner with global franchises to ensure alignment to strategy on core materials to develop training programs.
  • Drive a continuous learning organization by sharing strategies/materials with other Local Operating Countries (LOCs) as appropriate to foster a One Medical training approach.
  • Participate in the diagnosis, design and execution of special transformative initiatives across Paediatrics programs around the world.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Medical Doctor/Pharm D or other Biomedical Science Degrees.
  • Experience designing and developing training programs and educational tools.
  • Project management experience, with specific experience leading large-scale training initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning ability to prioritize business needs and flexibility to address them when business appropriate.
  • Paediatric HIV clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree, PhD in science related field.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience, preferred.
  • Medical Affairs experience.
  • Clinical Trial experience.
  • Business acumen skills.
