Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It\’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you\’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too and would love to hear from you.

The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work—the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. Responsibilities

Serve customers with passion and pride, providing excellent natural service.
Be knowledgeable about products and services.
Work across the store in service, picking, and replenishment areas.
Follow training to work safely and effectively.
Make customer-focused decisions and deliver routines that meet their needs.
Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events.
Understand store performance and contribute to driving service, sales, and profit.
Handle products carefully to maintain quality.
Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow policies.
Occasionally accept deliveries into the store.

Minimum requirements

A passion for delivering great service with a smile.
Ability to build rapport with customers.
Initiative and decision-making skills for customer benefit.
Teamwork and good communication.
Punctuality, presentation, and professionalism.
