Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It's our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too.

You will be responsible for:

  • Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride.
  • Being passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
  • Working across the store in service, picking, and replenishment areas where required.
  • Implementing training received to work safely and effectively.
  • Making decisions that are right for customers and delivering routines that meet their needs.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
  • Understanding your store's performance and contributing to service and sales.
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality.
  • Living our values and making everyone feel welcome.
  • Accepting deliveries into the store when required.

You will need:

  • A passion for delivering great service and greeting customers with a smile.
  • The ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Initiative to make decisions that are right for customers.
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate openly.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
