Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It\’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you\’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too and would love to hear from you.

The table shows the preferred times we’d like you to be available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within these times, with 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service with enthusiasm and pride.
• Being knowledgeable about products and services.
• Assisting in various store areas including service, picking, and replenishment.
• Following safety and operational training to serve customers effectively.
• Making customer-focused decisions and supporting store routines.
• Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
• Understanding store performance and contributing to sales, waste reduction, and profit goals.
• Handling products carefully to maintain quality.
• Living our values, creating an inclusive atmosphere, and adhering to policies.
• Occasionally accepting deliveries into the store.

Minimum requirements

• A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers warmly.
• Ability to build rapport and make customers’ shopping trips enjoyable.
• Initiative and decision-making skills for customer benefit.
• Teamwork and open communication.
• Punctuality, presentation, and being a positive brand ambassador.
