JOB DESCRIPTION

Technical Support Engineer – Warwick

Our Technology Teams at Telent are focused and enterprising. You must be when you are bringing the digital revolution to homes, infrastructure and businesses across the country. Help build and keep the nation\’s critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

What you\’ll do

  • Configuration and replacement of datacentre equipment such as Cisco and Juniper firewalls, Cisco switches, Cisco and Dell server hosts whilst maintaining system operation.
  • Provide both on-site and on-call support capacity for TPCMS with an ability to travel throughout the UK.
  • Proactively monitor the availability, performance, and security of TPCMS as part of a 24Γ—7 team.
  • Address TPCMS issues either by resolving the issue or assigning to internal staff (engineers) or external providers (such as suppliers of equipment) to resolution.
  • Proactively engage with all members of the System Management Team to support a continuous improvement program for TPCMS and the service provided with the customer.
  • Ensure all Service Level Agreement targets are exceeded.
  • Support the transition of the TPCMS service to other parties by aiding the development and training needs of candidates.

Key Requirements

  • Vendor certification of the following would be beneficial: VMware, MS Windows System Support, Cisco knowledge – LAN / WAN, Juniper, IP Trade.
  • McAfee SIEM Security – Security Information Events Management knowledge
  • IT / ICT further education
