We are happy to discuss remote or hybrid working and welcome applications from across the UK. The role is predominantly home-based but may involve occasional travel to client sites in Liverpool. All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) to Security Check (SC) level as a minimum.

Your future duties and responsibilities

As a System Architect, you will be responsible for providing Siebel CRM technical leadership, ensuring that development, database administration, and infrastructure teams adhere to best practices. You will play a crucial role in defining the solution architecture and optimising system performance to meet evolving business needs.

You will prepare and present technical documentation, architectural blueprints, and progress reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Working closely with senior government stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams, you will ensure that the solution aligns with operational objectives while maintaining data security and integrity.

A key aspect of your role will be defining optimisation options for Siebel CRM performance and storage capacity, supporting long-term business scalability. You will also design and oversee Siebel integrations with external data stores, reporting tools, and document management systems to ensure seamless functionality.

Key duties:

  1. Work closely with database and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless data migration and integrity.
  2. Establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track CRM system health and data compliance.
  3. Optimise Siebel performance, indexing, and database management for long-term efficiency.
  4. Lead the end-to-end Siebel data archiving and clean-up process.
  5. Provide expertise on Siebel user access controls, encryption, and secure data handling.
  6. Offer technical leadership and guidance to development teams on Siebel best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong expertise in Siebel CRM, including development, database administration, and infrastructure support. You will have a proven ability to communicate effectively with business, delivery, and operational stakeholders regarding end-to-end solution requirements and risk assessments.

Your ability to identify, prioritise, and mitigate architectural concerns, including risk and financial implications, will be essential. You will provide expert guidance on architectural decision-making and ensure the solution meets all present and future requirements.

You should have experience in database optimisation, purging, and migration, ensuring that Siebel CRM operates efficiently. A background in Siebel CRM development, database administration, or engineering is highly desirable, allowing you to act as a subject matter expert within the wider project team.

Key skills and experience:

  1. Strong experience in Siebel CRM development, DBA, or engineering.
  2. Expertise in solution architecture, risk assessment, and financial constraints analysis.
  3. Proven technical leadership with the ability to make and guide architectural decisions.
  4. Strong database optimisation, purging, and migration expertise.
  5. Experience in Siebel user access controls, encryption, and secure data handling.
  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
