We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner for Amazon EMEA to drive HR excellence in this dynamic tech environment. You\’ll collaborate with business leaders to execute HR strategies that support business goals and enhance employee experience, while leading Pan-EMEA strategic projects with senior stakeholder exposure. The ideal candidate is a data-driven HR professional with strong leadership abilities and experience in global team collaboration. You\’ll partner on strategic initiatives, optimize HR programs, and ensure alignment with labor relations and HR policies. Success requires business acumen, executive coaching capability, superior communication skills, and strategic thinking. Must excel at managing competing priorities and making sound decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. This is a high-impact role where you can truly make a difference for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to AWS EMEA Leadership Team, providing strategic HR guidance
- Ensure excellent employee relations and compliance with local labor laws
- Analyze business unit data to drive performance, retention, and employee experience improvements
- Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and succession management initiatives
- Collaborate with talent acquisition teams on hiring, retention, and internal talent development
- Provide coaching to business leaders to grow their leadership capabilities
- Partner with other HR professionals in EMEA and globally to exchange best practices and ensure consistent delivery of best in class service to AWS business
- Contribute beyond local remit, adding value to the broader business and HR team
- Execute business-critical EMEA and global HR projects
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20% of the time)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor\’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Extensive experience as progressive HR Business Partner
- Experience partnering with senior leadership teams on organizational development, talent management, and strategic workforce planning
- Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations cases and organizational change initiatives
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment
- Track record of using data and analytics to drive HR decisions and demonstrate business impact
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master\’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent European certification)
- Extensive experience as HR Business Partner, supporting senior/executive level leaders
- Previous experience in a global technology company, preferably in cloud computing or enterprise software
- Experience working with matrix organizations and managing multiple stakeholders across geographies
- Strong knowledge of European labor laws and employment regulations
- Experience with mergers & acquisitions, organizational design, and large-scale transformation projects
- Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive business results
- Experience with HR analytics tools and proficiency in data visualization
