The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) is a Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC), established by the Mayor of London to bring forward the regeneration of the Old Oak Opportunity area, spanning land in three London boroughs – Ealing, Brent and Hammersmith & Fulham. The Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area is one of the most exciting and important regeneration opportunities in the UK – aiming to create an accessible, welcoming and well-connected urban district, centred around the new High Speed 2 station at Old Oak Common, with tens of thousands of new high-quality and affordable homes; good quality, well-paid jobs and shops; facilities, sustainable travel connections and public green space.

Corporate Operations Directorate

The Corporate Operations Directorate provides essential support services to enable the effective functioning of OPDC. This includes finance, HR, Governance, IT, legal and facilities management.

About the team

The finance team provide fundamental business partnering and transactional support to the OPDC business. As the organisation has evolved, so too has the finance function to reflect this.

About the role

The OPDC Finance team is made up of Finance Business Partners and a Financial Control team. The Senior Finance Officer role will form part of the Finance business partnering team and will work alongside the Finance Business partners and will report to the Head of Finance Business Partnering. The purpose of this role is to undertake a wide range of financial support tasks across the Corporation’s internal finance function, ensuring financial integrity and strategic alignment with OPDC’s objectives.

What your day will look like

  • Preparing, posting and reviewing journals in SAP and assisting with period end and quarter end processes.
  • Overseeing the Asset and Estate Management (AEM) portfolio, including reviewing cash transfer notes for the Managing agent.
  • Ensuring all sales invoices are raised and providing cash allocation details to Financial Control team.
  • Joining monthly asset and estate management team meetings, including overseeing commercial strategy through to operational and tactical matters such as tenant related items.
  • Running reports and distributing these to Finance team members (daily/weekly).
  • Raising Purchase Orders for the Financial accountant, ensuring the P2P process is followed appropriately.
  • Supporting OPDC’s annual financial and planning cycles by producing and coordinating timetables and tracking progress against deadlines.
  • Lunch with team at local bakery / join OPDC lunch and learn sessions (ad hoc).
  • Team check in (weekly) and 1-2-1 with manager (weekly).

OPDC staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.

In addition to a good salary package, you will be paid every four weeks, providing frequent salary payments. We also offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme with the option to add to build up pension benefits with a separate provider alongside your LGPS pension via additional voluntary contributions.
