Job Description Senior EUC Engineer
Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled 3rd Line EUC Desktop Engineer to join our team based in London. In this critical role, you will provide expert support for our EUC environment, ensuring high availability and performance in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to the smooth operation of trading platforms and internal business systems.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Provide 3rd line support for all EUC-related incidents and service requests, prioritizing high-availability, performance, and low-latency trading environments.
- Act as the escalation point for complex desktop support issues, ensuring trading systems remain operational during critical periods.
- Troubleshoot and manage desktop systems, laptops, peripherals, and software in a mission-critical trading environment.
- Lead efforts to resolve issues related to low-latency hardware, networking, and software platforms in trading floor settings.
- Perform preventative maintenance, updates, and patch management to optimize trading platforms and workstations.
- Collaborate with network, security, and server teams to resolve cross-functional issues impacting trading operations.
- Support trading applications and proprietary tools (e.g., Eikon, Refinitiv, Bloomberg) integral to gas energy and trading workflows.
- Manage and deploy desktop images, configurations, and device lifecycle processes.
- Ensure compliance with stringent endpoint security protocols and trading industry regulations.
- Document solutions, best practices, and known issues, sharing insights with Service Desk and IT teams.
- Drive continuous improvements through technology upgrades and troubleshooting efforts.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on trading-specific technology and support practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Proven experience in a 3rd line EUC desktop support role, ideally within a high-availability, low-latency trading environment.
- Expertise in Windows OS (10/11), macOS, desktop virtualization (Citrix, VMware Horizon), and endpoint management tools.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, MS Office 365.
