WearenowlookingforaSalesforceDevelopertojointheSupporterRevenuePlatformteaminourproductandengineeringdepartment.Alongsidethe3teamsintheGrowthareaofSupporterRevenue,thePlatformteammostlyfacesthebusinessratherthanthecustomerdirectly.Theteamensuresthat:

• GNM’sContactCentrehastheSalesforceServiceCloudtoolingtodothetaskstheyneedtodo
• TheGuardian’sHelpCentreisgenuinelyusefultocustomersanddeflectsasmanycontactsfromtheaboveaspossible
• Financestaffcanaccessdataandgeneratethereportstheyneedtoreportonrevenueandmeetregulatoryrequirements
• OuroperationalsystemswarehousetheirdatatoBigQuerycomprehensivelyandreliably

Theteam’stechnologyownershipspansacrossthefullstack,andincludesAWS,Salesforce,BigQuery,Zuora,Stripe,PayPalandGoCardless.

AsaSalesforceengineer,you’llbeequallywillingtodiveintocodeorconfig.You'llbeenthusiasticandknowledgeableabouttheSalesforceplatform;bestpractices,engineeringprinciplesandcuttingedgefeatures.You'llbecomfortablecollaboratingwithStakeholderstomakemeaningfulchangesthathaveimpacttoourusers.

Abouttherole

• WorkingwithApex,LightningWebComponentsanddeclarativeSalesforceconfiguration,butweusethetoolthatbestfitstheproblem.
• DevelopingnewfeaturesinSalesforce,integratingwithourowninternalservicesand3rdpartysoftware.
• Providingtheoccasionalpieceof3rdlinesupporthelpingresolvesomeofourmorecomplicatedqueries.
• Modernisingdeploymentpipelineandtesting,tooperateinlinewiththerestofouragileprocesses.
• Workinginacross-functionalteam,whichisempoweredtorapidlyiterateandreleasenewfeatures.
• Youwon’tbecodinginisolation-ourcultureisstronglycollaborative,whetherpairprogrammingwithotherdevelopersorworkingcloselywitheditorialandcommercialcolleagues.

• Experienceworkingwiththesalesforceplatformwithdemonstratedknowledgeofbestpractice,engineeringprinciplesandfeatures
• Collaborative,comfortableworkingwithstakeholderstomakemeaningfulchanges
• ExperienceworkingwithApex,LightningWebComponentsanddeclarativeSalesforceconfiguration
• CertificationssuchasSalesforcePlatformDeveloperand/orSalesforceAgentforceSpecialistarenotessentialforthisrole,butsimilardemonstratedexperiencewouldsupportyourapplication.

Westrivefortransparencyinremunerationwherepossible.ThesalarybandforSalesforceDevelopersattheGuardianisbetween£57,000-£72,000peryear.
