What you'll be doing:
- Serve as the line manager for the PCSE Risk & Assurance team, managing performance, supporting development, training, and career planning.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain a comprehensive assurance plan and risk governance frameworks.
- Ensure the team meets all objectives to comply with contractual, legislative, and company policies.
- Facilitate joint governance with the client, generating and submitting risk and control reports.
- Promote risk awareness within PCSE.
- Manage incidents effectively, incorporating lessons learned and analyzing trends.
- Report on compliance with the assurance framework.
- Organize risk reviews and self-assessments.
- Create assurance reports to validate controls, identify risks, and provide insights.
- Coordinate audits and track actions to resolution.
- Prepare submissions for the Risk & Assurance Committee and other reports.
- Maintain documentation as required.
- Support audits and oversee resilience framework coordination.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in risk management, resilience, compliance, assurance, and audit.
- Experience managing stakeholders up to senior levels.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Commercial awareness and influencing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Risk management qualification is desirable but not essential; practical experience is crucial.
