Work Winning Quantity Surveyor to join our pre-construction team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing high-quality projects across a diverse portfolio of sectors, including commercial, education, healthcare, residential and public sector developments.
Working closely with Bid, Estimating, Design and Operational teams, you will provide commercial leadership throughout the work-winning process, ensuring competitive, robust and deliverable tender submissions that support the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial input into pre-construction and tender activities from initial opportunity through to contract award.
- Review tender documentation, contracts and procurement strategies to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Prepare cost plans, tender adjudications and commercial reports to support bid submissions.
- Work collaboratively with Estimators and Operational teams to develop winning bid strategies.
- Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring best value and compliance with tender requirements.
- Support negotiation of contract terms and commercial agreements with clients and supply chain partners.
- Develop value engineering proposals and alternative solutions that enhance competitiveness and project outcomes.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations and tender interviews where required.
- Ensure compliance with Wates governance processes and commercial procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the pre-construction and commercial functions.
