Introduction to the Team

Expedia Product & Technology builds innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. The Offers team are responsible for all Price Display Products. Our vision is to help travelers get the best value for their trip through transparent, contextual and insightful price experiences.

The Products we are responsible for include: price summary, price details, rate calendar, price insight, availability insight, discount merchandising and much more. We power these products across all brands and devices, globally.

As a Product Manager working in the Offers team you will facilitate the product design and development of the experience across our traveler products. You will be a key member of a strong team of Product Managers, working with designers, engineers, product analysts, data scientists, and a broad group of stakeholders globally. You will work with both experience and domain tech teams and get to work on a highly impactful product area end-to-end and design solutions to solve our customers` problems.

You`ll see the results of your work rapidly making a difference for our customers and our business. We organise for speed and we follow the scientific method.

What you will do:

  • You will generate product ideas to improve and optimize our existing products; you will use data, research and your own customer empathy to identify opportunities.
  • You will quantify and prioritise the new product opportunities; you may need to influence team members inside and outside of our team to ensure opportunities are prioritised.
  • You will work with design and engineering to deliver the product improvements; you will be accountable for the outcomes and impact.
  • You will use storytelling and persuasive influencing techniques that build trust with team and partners and establish long-term relationships.
  • You will contribute to events (for example, workshops) and the wider Product community to help others develop functional knowledge and acumen, both within and across teams.

Who you are:

  • Experience building products where there`s high degree of ambiguity on what to build in order to solve a customer problem.
  • Experience in eCommerce or Travel industries is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Bachelor\’s, Master`s or Equivalent Experience; Technical degree preferred otherwise relevant experience is applicable.
  • Experience or ability to interpret data in order to form insights and hypotheses, with regard to user behaviour.
