DESCRIPTION
Amazon Corporate Business Development is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development professional to join the Corporate BD team in London. The role focuses on strategic initiatives, deal work, and partnerships.
This position involves working closely with Amazon senior management to develop unique partnership opportunities, aligning goals with partner capabilities. You will be responsible for managing complex, high-impact partnerships, including relationships and negotiations with long-term implications for Amazon.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to build strong relationships at senior levels, support innovative initiatives, and collaborate across functions within a leading technology company.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop transformative commercial strategies that drive significant business impact.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships to enhance customer experiences and support Amazon\’s strategic goals.
- Build strong internal relationships across Amazon\’s diverse business units.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Tax, and Accounting to execute partnerships.
- Support new initiatives by assessing market opportunities, business potential, and strategic fit.
- Evaluate the costs and benefits of partnerships and coordinate with relevant leaders to execute agreements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience in business development, partnership management, or sourcing at a senior level.
- Proven success in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
- Expertise in the consumer industry.
- Experience working within distributed, cross-functional organizations.
- Track record of successful partnerships, especially in internet, e-commerce, digital media, or high-tech industries.
- Ability to structure and negotiate complex agreements and lead cross-functional teams.
- Capacity to work effectively in ambiguous environments at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with sound business judgment and quantitative analysis skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
