DESCRIPTION

The Program Manager supports the Security Program Management Launch team for all Amazon Fulfilment Locations in the UK & IRE, focusing on developing security frameworks, information security, security operations, security systems, policy, and response.

Technical cross-domain expertise is essential for success in this role. You should be a leading industry expert, at least in one of the core sub-areas of security as defined by the industry-standard Common Body of Knowledge (CBK):

  • Physical Access Control Systems, Methodology and applications
  • Intruder detection systems, methodology and applications
  • Physical Security hardware, methodology and applications
  • Security Management Practices
  • Security tendering process
  • Information Security principles and their alignment to Physical Security
  • Operational Security
  • Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP)
  • Law, Investigations, and Ethics
  • Physical Security
  • Holistic, ergonomic, Health & Safety considerations and end-to-end project management

Key job responsibilities

  • Leading physical security system projects across EMEA.
  • Managing external vendors and guiding project execution.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (design, construction, IT, launch, expansion) and external vendors (contractors, consultants).
  • Ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.
  • Driving cost-effective improvements.

A day in the life

As a Program Manager, you will support the implementation of physical security systems (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection) on new sites, retrofits, and expansions. You will manage projects, onboard external project managers, and ensure system handover to operational teams, supporting investigations and continuous improvements.

About the team: The Physical Security team works with stakeholders to secure the supply chain, install compliant security systems, and improve security infrastructure, ensuring scalability and risk mitigation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data for improvements.
  • Experience in program or project management.
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and automation.
  • Experience defining and executing program requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience delivering end-to-end projects and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Experience leading process improvements.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Process building, scheduling, and project management skills.
