We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Painter/Decorator in HMP Full Sutton, Moor Lane, Full Sutton, York YO41 1PS. The standard hours of work are 24 hours per week. Staff are required to work between 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Wednesday. There may be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).

By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.
What you will do:
- Planned and reactive paint work in all areas of the prison.
- Responsibility for the care and maintenance of tools, materials and additional company property.
- Compliance with relevant company Health & Safety Policy, instructions and directive.
- Guiding and supporting prisoners in Painting and Decorating as part of Amey's CRED programme.
What you will bring:
- Comfortable working alongside prisoners.
- Good awareness and understanding of personal health and safety, method statements and risk assessments.
- Sharing best practice with others.
- NVQ level 3 in Painting and Decorating, however we will consider applications if you have NVQ level 2.
- Previous relevant work-related experience.
