About the Role

Rebuilding your life after a custodial sentence is one of the toughest challenges a person can face. With the right support, it is possible. We’re looking for a dedicated Case Worker to join our team—a person with compassion, resilience, organisation and flexibility.

In this role, you will work in the probation offices, providing one‑to‑one support to a caseload of participants as they reintegrate into society. As a key member of a dedicated team, you will help individuals overcome barriers, build confidence, take steps towards training or employment and make meaningful steps towards rehabilitation. This is a demanding yet deeply rewarding role. You will be working in a challenging environment with individuals who have complex needs and may be hesitant to engage. However, when you help someone break the cycle and take real steps towards transforming their life, the impact is truly life‑changing—for them and for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Relationship Building: Foster genuine, trusting, and non‑judgemental relationships with participants, creating a safe space for personal growth.
  • Signposting: Refer and encourage participation with Ingeus services and other suitable external support to support their rehabilitation.
  • Action Planning: Formulate a detailed action plan identifying specific needs and barriers and identifying the support they need to support their transition.
  • Individual and Group Interventions: Work with participants individually and in small groups where appropriate.
  • Caseload Management: Manage multiple individuals, balancing their needs while keeping up with all the related admin, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and progress is properly tracked.
