WPS are seeking a highly organised and proactive Document Controller to join our Planned Works Division.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth management and control of documentation across a portfolio of social housing projects.

You'll be based in Oldham but will be expected to travel regularly to project sites and regional offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy, version control, and accessibility.
  • Liaise with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely document flow.
  • Support project managers with document tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external document control standards.
  • Set up and manage document control systems for new projects.
  • Attend site visits and meetings to support documentation needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in document control within construction or housing sectors.
  • Familiarity with planned works and refurbishment projects.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel across North West of England.

Desirable

  • Experience working on social housing projects.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory documentation in construction/the built environment

Travel

This role requires regular travel to various project sites and offices within the North West so a full UK driving licence is preferred.

Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage.
